Whitetail

All properties are intensely managed with one goal in mind: to create nothing less than the absolute best whitetail hunting experience.  None of our land is leased and it is your choice to hunt in the high fence or free range.  Also, the hunt is not physically demanding unless you are looking for a physical challenge and any age or level of experience is welcome.

Whitetail deer are fed year round to increase their body weight and horn size.   When hunting it is common to see 50 plus whitetail in one sitting plus other wildlife over food plots or corn feeders.  Rifle hunting is out of two or three man tower blinds with shots within 100 yards.  Archery hunting is out of ground blinds with shots within 30 yards.  Every hunter has their own guide and you will take home a souvenir photograph of your trophy.

We are under special whitetail permits through the state of Texas. These permits allow our whitetail Season to open around the first weekend of October and end in February annually.

At the Lonesome Coyote Ranch, all whitetail hunts are booked on a first come, first served basis.   We book a full calendar of hunts during that time so, be sure to book your whitetail Texas trip to Lonesome Coyote well in advance.

Guests are not restricted or limited to a certain size group or certain days of the week. However, our standard Hunt Package is 3 days and 2 nights and typically you arrive after lunch on the first day and depart before noon on the last day.  We can comfortably accommodate up to 14 in the main lodge. Additional guests can utilize sleeping arrangement at the Chiminea and Dos Rios lodges. 

Hunting Packages are per person and based on the size of your whitetail, which is variable (see table below). Your guide will assist you in identifying the size and score of whitetail during the hunt.   The size your guide calls it in the field is the size you pay for unless we are officially scoring the deer.

Prices are per person

There is no nightly rate for children under the age of 12.

Included: Lodging, all meals, open bar after the evening hunt, game room, swimming pool, one predator (Bobcat, Hog, Javelina or Varmint) or hog per hunter, one on one guide, field dressing and quartering.

Not Included: Guns, Ammunition, Hunting license, Gratuity for Guide and Cooks.

We want to help give the gift of hunting to the next generation.  Therefore, we offer a special package that includes two night stay, food and lodging and two guides choice bucks for $3,500.00.  This package is for an adult and a child under the age of 18.

PLEASE NOTE THAT SCORES ARE BASED ON NET (NO DEDUCTIONS) BOONE AND CROCKET AND BLOOD DRAWN IS CONSIDERED A DOWNED DEER

We have access to dogs that track wounded deer for an extra fee.

**You can combine any additional hunts or activities, season and weather permitting.  For example, add on a quail hunt for $700.00 per person or a round of skeet for 50¢ per target.

Sample Itinerary

A 50% non-refundable deposit is required at time of booking. If deposits are not received within 14 days of booking all reservations will be deemed to have lapsed. We accept cash, check or credit card. Deposit is based on hunt package price and/or non-hunter rate according to number of nights per person. Your deposit can be applied to a mutually agreeable future reservation if changes are made 72 hours prior to check in date. All no shows will be billed in full.

All guests must sign a Liability and Indemnification Release upon arrival.
